Introduction
Volunteers are welcome, by arrangement with Esta for stays of a few days or up to three months.
It is important you consider what you may offer. Beyond basic play and help with homework, for which there will be limited materials available, the initiative will largely be yours.
Activities
All the children attend school or nursery. After school you will have the opportunity to help children with their homework, play games, teach or reinforce their English and assist the staff with the basic care of the children as well as simply giving the children some much needed love and attention. The children have had very difficult lives and they may have learning and social problems but they are extremely loving and enthusiastic.
There is an on-site nursery, attended by the youngest members of Kitaa Hope Home, and other local children. Help may also be appreciated there during the day.
Finances
The Home receives no State funding, so volunteers must pay their way to cover food and accommodation costs.

Volunteer
Hope Home Trust, a Charities Commission registered non-profit organization, seeks to advance in life and relieve the needs of orphaned children in Tanzania through provision of homes, education and Christian care specifically through Kilimanjaro International Tanzania Aid Agency. 100% of all donations goes directly to meet these aims in Tanzania. Any administrative and fundraising costs are met by the trustees.
